Stronger Together

The San Jose Spartans are the athletic basketball team of San Jose State University. They play their home games at Provident Credit Union Center on the SJSU campus and are part of the Mountain West Basketball league. Having played its first game in 1903, the team has not had much success on the court, only winning 10 conference championships before 2000, as well as a handful on post-season tournament appearances. So far only 11 players have made the leap to the NBA from the team. In recent years the team has struggled record and attendance wise. The basketball team still is a fun team to watch and hopefully they can improve over the next few years with better recruiting and talent flowing into the Bay Area.
